Ms. Vera L. Elam, of Scottdale, died peacefully at home on November 8, 2013. Daughter of the late Jack and Sara Elam, she earned a Masters Degree of Nursing from Emory University in 1975. She retired from Wesley Woods. Survivors include a sister; Jacki Elam of Scottdale, a nephew and four nieces. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral service Monday, November 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
