Virginia Crowder Jacobs

Mrs. Virginia C. Jacobs, 81, of Atlanta, died Thursday morning, March 22, 2007 at Emory University Hospital from pneumonia and a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a long standing active member and supporter of the Briarlake Baptist Church and the Senior Women's Bible Class. Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Howard J. Jacobs; and a daughter, Mrs. Jenny Lynn Covington. Surviving are a lifelong loving grandson and his wife, David W. & Paige C. Covington of Suwanne, GA; two great-grandchildren, Justin & Sydney Covington; and an endless list of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur. Longtime Briarlake Baptist Church pastor, Dr. J. Hoffman Harris will officiate. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
