Virginia Ewing King

Virginia Ewing King passed away September 25, 2010. She was a graduate of Girl's High School in Atlanta. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond E King Sr. Virginia was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an active member at Clairmont Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Progressive Sunday School Class. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her brother Edward S. Ewing, her son Raymond E King Jr. and daughter-in-law Melinda King, and her daughter, Judy Elder and son-in-law, David Elder. Virginia leaves behind five adoring grandchildren and their families: Kristen King, Raymond E. King III, Caroline King, David Elder Jr. and wife Allison Elder, Ansley Hall and husband Nicholas Hall. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, September 27, 2010 at Arlington Memorial Park with Dr. Tom Pipkin officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Clairmont Presbyterian Church or Peachtree Christian Hospice.
