In loving memory of Vivian Summers Yancey of Stone Mountain, GA.
She was born in Newnan, GA on August 10, 1921 to the late Robert and Gertrude Summers.
Vivian was married to her husband, Randolph Yancey, for 67 happy years. They had 4 children – Doug (Becca) Yancey, Becky (Greg) Williams, Pat (David) Jenkins, and Claire (Robert) Collom. Sadly, Becky passed away on December 9, 2021.
Vivian & Randolph also had 14 Grandchildren, 35 Great-Grandchildren, and 14 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Vivian worked with her husband in their photography business, Yancey Studios. They took beautiful wedding pictures and nice family portraits.
Vivian also volunteered her time working in the thrift store at the Methodist Children’s Home in Decatur, GA. She was an active member of Dial Heights Garden Club, and a faithful member of the United Methodist Women of Glen Haven Methodist Church where her family attended.
Her husband passed away on January 24, 2010.
Vivian was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Summers and Bobby Summers and by her sister, Gertrude Summers Caruso.
Vivian is survived by 2 of her sisters, Jane Ellen Speers and Addie Summers Cooley.
Vivian was loved by her family and her many friends. She was a good example for all of us and we have so many beautiful and happy memories of her.
