William Franklin Lester

Mr. William F. Lester of Monroe, formerly of Decatur, died Friday, November 4, 2005. Mr. Lester graduated from Decatur High School and Georgia State University. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he was a retired real estate broker. He was a member and former steward of Decatur First Methodist Church. He was a former president of the DeKalb Board of Realtors. Mr. Lester is survived by his wife, Patricia Green Lester; two daughters, Kim Lester Hill & her husband Edgar Timothy Hill of Lilburn, Cheryl Lester Durham and her husband Robert E. Durham of Atlanta; brother, John Harvey Lester of Pensacola, FL; and five grandchildren, Bryan Hill, Kevin Hill, Megan Hill, Rachel Hill, and Anna Grace Durham. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Rev. Frank Brock will officiate. Interment will be at Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Sunday evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
