William Louis Reynolds III

William Louis Reynolds lll (Bill) went home to be with the Lord May 9, 2026. Bill was born July 9, 1939 in Greenville, SC to Mr & Mrs William Louis Reynolds Jr. He attended Southwest Dekalb High School in Decatur, GA and Clemson University. Bill was a long time employee of the Atlanta Police Department, retiring in 1990 as Lieutenant. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jr and Mildred (Kathleen) Reynolds and nephews Eric Norris Reynolds and Ronald Todd Chamlee. Bill is survived by his wife Patsy and children William IV (Donna), Shelly (Larry), Magnolia Mellema (Michael), Kenneth,(Joanne) Amy (Brian), many grand- and great grandchildren and his brother Wayne (Judy). He was a faithful member and Deacon of the historic Jackson Hill Baptist Church for many years.

Bill was an avid saltwater fisherman and made many trips to the Gulf in pursuit of "The Big One". His greatest joy in life, however, was his family, by whom he will be sorely missed.
