Windle Joe Brown

Mr. Windle J. Brown, 90, of Decatur died Wednesday, December 19, 2007.  He served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife Bertie Mae Brown of Decatur; daughters, Helen Farmer and husband Jerry of Senoia, Gloria Brown of Winder; four granddaughters; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister, Hazel Davis of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 22nd at Melwood Cemetery with Rev. Ted Padgett officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3 Corporate Sq., Suite 120, Atlanta, GA  30329.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 11:00 to 12:30 P.M. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
